A Dianthus nest....

Location, location, location....

Dinnertime in Indiana!

Chickens in front drive after a heavy rain, eating the worms that seep out of the grass....

Ootheca Farm....Praying Mantis Eggs....If these are "Stagmomantis Carolina Mantis" they will have as many as two hundred babies in each egg casing. That means I might have a thousand babies on the way!

You can check out this site to see an ootheca hatching.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzACu6-I1F4

Turtle from pond heading out to lay her eggs...She is about a foot long.

Sandy and I went on a tree gathering expedition. You can see way out in the field there are some woods. We had to walk on a fallen tree that wobbled precariously twenty feet over a raging river to get to the woods. OK, maybe it was only four feet over a one foot deep swale…but it was still adventurous.
